From the moment I arrived, I knew Brett & Sophia’s wedding was going to be one for the books. Their entire wedding party brought an energy that was fun, loud, and contagious — a crew that couldn’t wait to celebrate every moment of the day.

Blackstone River Ranch in Idaho Springs, Colorado set the stage perfectly. It’s a quiet, tucked-away venue with a peaceful stream running behind the ceremony site — a soft soundtrack of water flowing as they exchanged vows. But long before the ceremony, we were already making magic.

Editorial Bridal Party Moments

Before the ceremony, Sophia was fully on board to get creative. I asked if she’d be open to trying some direct-flash, editorial-inspired shots — the kind of vibe you see on the pages of a BRIDES magazine. She didn’t hesitate for a second.

We set up the room, grabbed a BRIDES magazine for the perfect prop, and created some of my favorite bridal party shots to date. The entire vibe was elevated, fun, and full of personality — a modern, rockstar-inspired twist that fit Sophia’s energy perfectly.

The groomsmen brought their own style too. Inside the venue, I noticed a vintage poster of a group of men from the early 1900s — it sparked an idea. We staged the guys in a similar arrangement, pulling off a timeless, vintage-inspired portrait that fit their vibe and brought out their personalities in a way that felt effortless and fun.

A Full Wedding with Friends & Family

The ceremony itself was filled with laughter, emotion, and the buzz of a big family celebration. Friends, relatives, and loved ones from near and far gathered to witness Brett & Sophia say "I do" with the quiet river behind them and the mountain air surrounding the entire scene.

Echo Lake Adventure Portraits

After the ceremony, we snuck away for a quick trip up the road to Echo Lake — just a short 5-minute drive but a complete visual shift. The scenery was incredible: a glassy lake surrounded by towering pine trees, hiking trails, and panoramic mountain views. Brett & Sophia fully embraced the adventure as we ran around capturing some truly breathtaking portraits — images that balanced natural beauty with the raw energy they brought to every part of their day.
