just a cheesehead roaming
the mountain side
My passion for photography runs deeper than the past five, ten, or even twenty years—it’s woven into the fabric of my life. Growing up in rural Wisconsin, my parents were always documenting our childhood. Whether it was with an old-school camcorder or my mom’s Canon Rebel T9, they captured every birthday, holiday, and adventure. My mom’s sharpie-labeled SD cards and overflowing photo albums became treasures of our family history. To this day, I still flip through these albums, reliving memories that passed by too quickly to fully appreciate in the moment. That’s where my love for photography was born.
I realized early on that photography is about more than taking pictures; it’s about preserving the moments that speed by too quickly. The forts we built, the bikes we jumped, the atv's we buried, and all the chaos in between—it’s these fleeting memories that photography gives a second life to.
I carry that perspective into every wedding, capturing not just how your day looks, but how it feels, so you can hold onto those emotions for decades to come.
My journey started with borrowing my mom’s camera whenever I could for whatever occasion. In high school, I found myself documenting adventures, and by college, I had my first real camera in hand. From road trips with friends to cross-country explorations, I fell in love with capturing the candid, unfiltered joy of people in their element. The reactions—those “wow, I didn’t know I looked that cool” moments—hooked me.
Today, that same passion drives me to tell your story through timeless images. With a mix of documentary and editorial styles, I focus on creating photographs that let you relive the moments you may not have had time to soak in. Because every story, every detail, deserves to be remembered.
